New Port Richey Criminal Defense Lawyer

Clementine "CC" Conde, has been a criminal defense attorney since 1993.  She has successfully defended clients against the Death Penalty and won victories in Capital Sexual Battery, Attempted Murder, and Lewd and Lascivious Battery cases.

  • The presumption of innocence
  • The right to counsel
  • The right against unlawful search and seizure
  • The right to trial by jury
  • The right to confront witnesses.

These are tenets intrinsic to our judicial system. These rights apply to all persons regardless of race, creed, sex, national origin or class. As a criminal defense attorney, CC is dedicated to the preservation of these rights for each and every individual.

After serving as an Assistant Public Defender in Pasco and Pinellas Counties for over twelve years, CC now serves as a private attorney devoted to criminal defense. CC has defended thousands of individuals charged with crimes including those charged with First Degree Murder, DUI Manslaughter, Capital Sexual Battery as well as many individuals charged with less serious offenses such as DUI and Domestic Battery. She has practiced in criminal defense for over fifteen years with a primary focus in Pasco, Pinellas, Hernando and Hillsborough Counties. CC has handled more than 100 non-jury trials.

Ms. Conde's trial experience consists of having tried over 120 jury trials of which 80 were felonies and the remainder DUI and/or misdemeanor cases. She has also successfully defended clients in violation of probation hearings.

CC's practice is devoted entirely to criminal defense. Quite often, she is retained before an individual is arrested or formally charged while the case is still under investigation by the police or State Attorney's Office. The advantage to her clients in having retained an attorney while the case is under investigation is that she can present affirmative defenses or mitigating evidence to the police or State Attorney to prevent an arrest or prevent formal charges from being filed.

Ms. Conde has also handled many post-trial motions such as Motions for New Trial, Motions for Postconviction Relief as well as Motions to Reconsider Sentence.  On occasion, her efforts have resulted in new trials being granted, reduction of sentences as well as other relief.

CC has been trained by the Florida Public Defender College; Search and Seizure Seminars and DUI seminars.  She has also instructed at the Advanced Public Defender College which provides training in litigating complex felony cases for attorneys with more than 5 years experience.

Ms. Conde continues to stay current with the changes in law and has also attended the Life Over Death Seminar as well as the Death is Different Seminar.  Both seminars dealt with the representation of defendants charged with capital murder.

Clementine Conde was named "Public Defender of the Year" in 2005 for the 6th Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s Office. Her teaching experience also includes Adjunct Professor at Pasco-Hernando Community College. She has instructed and trained paralegals in the area of evidence and trial practice.

CC graduated from University of Miami in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She then graduated from Western New England School of Law in 1991 with a Juris Doctor.

CC Conde is currently a member of various legal organizations including the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Pinellas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, West Pasco Bar Association, Clearwater Bar Association, and Allgood-Altman Inns of Court.
